Andrew M. Pugh Named Deputy Comptroller for Administrative Operations

WASHINGTON — The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) today announced the selection of Andrew M. Pugh to be the agency’s Deputy Comptroller for Administrative Operations.

Mr. Pugh will supervise the OCC’s Workplace Services and Acquisition Management functions, and its Office of Security, and reports to the Senior Deputy Comptroller for Management and Chief Financial Officer.

“Drew’s experience and expertise in managing budgets, administrative services, and acquisition activities provides the OCC with proven leadership in the management of important functions that support our agency’s programs,” said Comptroller of the Currency Thomas J. Curry.

Prior to the OCC, Mr. Pugh was Director, Business Management and Planning at the Commodity Futures Trading Commission, where he oversaw agency-wide administrative services, strategic planning, and security/emergency management. Previously, he served as Budget Officer at the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission, and as Deputy Chief Financial Officer at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), where he oversaw the agency’s financial management functions and directed the formulation, execution, and financial reporting of ATF’s $1.1 billion annual appropriated budget. He also served as Director, Budget Execution and Performance for the Office of Justice Programs at the U.S. Department of Justice, directing the Programs’ $2.8 billion annual appropriated budget.

Mr. Pugh’s federal government career also includes budget and acquisition positions at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Air Force, and the Census Bureau.

Mr. Pugh holds a Master of Arts degree in economics from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in general engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy.
